Silent seconds slip through our open fingers.
Life continues. Lungs breathe. Hearts beat.
Meaningful murmurs whispered into the darkness of pillows.
The never-ending ocean of duvets and blankets.
Trying to drown us. Wave by wave.
But still, we swim together.
Clever conclusions are somewhat dimming.
The inconceivable ignorance of our generation.
Burning bridges will always smoulder.
Whilst we break our friends and extinguish our lovers.
We will kill ourselves, person by person.
Brother by brother. Lover against lover.
We will fall.
Summer sunshine is non existent.
Nothing glows when that garish white orb shows its head.
Perfect proportions of something so pure.
The pitter-patter of their tiny feet.
They’re unaware. Oblivious. Ignorant.
They’ll drown together. They’ll kill themselves.
They will always fall.
