Wave by wave
Calm washes over me
The ruins of this car crash life
Are being swept away by the tide
Each of these gentle little breaths
Rush down into my blackened lungs
Pushing the agony out
Keeping this rotten heart beating
My words are fading fast
And my walls from orange and black
To this pure brilliant white
The colours of the clouds in my head
The muddy murky waters o my mind
Gradually they’re getting clearer
I can nearly see the bottom of this pit
These chains are breaking loose
